About the Role
This position involves operating CT scanners, power injectors, and post-processing equipment to produce high-quality images. You'll be responsible for critiquing procedures, adjusting protocols to meet patient needs, and maintaining a repeat rate at or below national standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Image Production: Produce high-quality radiographic images through positioning and technical factors.
- Equipment Operation: Operate CT scanner, power injector, and post-processing equipment.
- Protocol Adjustment: Adjust protocols to meet patient needs.
- Critique and Quality Control: Critique completed procedures for high diagnostic quality and maintain a repeat rate at or below the national standard.
- Patient Communication: Communicate delays to patients and explain procedures.
- Patient Preparation: Obtain patient history and prepare patients for examination.
- Professional Development: Encourage research and stay up-to-date on new procedures.
- Equipment Selection: Select equipment based on procedure protocol and standards.
- Image Evaluation: Evaluate image quality and record data.
- Radiologist Support: Assist radiologist during invasive procedures.
- Patient Positioning: Position patients based on anatomy and provide accurate measurements.
- Patient Information: Practice positive patient identification and convey patient information to radiologist.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need ARRT certification in CT and a minimum of 2 years of immediate CT experience working full-time in an ER environment.
Work Schedule
This position offers a 1 week on, 1 week off schedule with 10-hour days for 70 hours per pay period, working afternoon shift.
