As our Area Counsel, you will track the disposition of complex contracts for land acquisitions, construction, and redevelopment. Manage comprehensive due diligence investigations for the potential acquisition of land. Oversee the expeditious procurement of governmental approvals for residential developments. Undertake land acquisition transactions and closings. Manage environmental remediation and hazardous waste disposal activities by professionals and contractors prior to and during community build-out. Assist in the preparation of comprehensive public offering statements and general information statements. Manage outside professionals to ensure efficient use of Division resources. Assist company legal professionals in monitoring and coordinating litigation matters with outside counsel. Review and update legal forms and agreements and provide general legal advice in support of Division operations.
To join our team in this role, you must have a Law Degree and a minimum of three years of experience in land use and real estate law. Active law license in New Jersey is required. Experience and licensure in New York and/or Pennsylvania is preferred.
