In this key position, you will be responsible for the development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information and for supervising the work of others. In addition, you’ll prepare, maintain and evaluate various general ledger accounts and reports; serve as a business advisor to area presidents and community builders; and coordinate the tri-annual cost-to-complete process. Other functions include reviewing the business unit’s monthly financial statements, as well as its budgets.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting from four-year college or university, budgeting experience; supervisory experience; a minimum of 3 years homebuilding accounting experience and 8 plus years of total accounting experience, preferably in real estate residential accounting. CPA preferred.
Candidate must proactively face challenges while being committed to providing customers with excellent services and products. The capacity for directing others while under pressure and maintaining a high level of ethics and integrity in all dealings is a must. Strategic planning abilities, handling multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines and demonstrating good judgment and decision-making skills are necessities for this position. The candidate must have a proven track record of success in building effective teams and interpersonal relationships while steadfastly pushing self and others for results.
