The Land Acquisition Advisor is responsible for providing expert advice to senior and executive management in securing land acquisition opportunities designed to fulfill a business unit’s new community objectives. Prepare market analyses of competition communities, product, pricing, sales, traffic, etc., for identified market areas and for specific acquisition opportunities. Prepare financial FMS analyses of acquisition opportunities (including proformas, P&L, proforma assumptions, cash flows, ROI, etc.). Negotiate acquisition opportunities through contacts with brokers, builders, bankers, landowners, engineers, planners, attorneys and municipal officials and issue letters of intent. Maintain a business relationship with municipalities within the business unit’s geographic boundaries. Counsel executive and senior management in land, kick-off, product and pricing, close-out meetings in the evaluation of potential land purchases and the re-positioning of existing communities.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (a concentration in marketing, real estate, planning, business, finance, engineering or related discipline is preferred) and two years experience in land acquisition or land acquisition analyst roles. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, FMS, and Project Scheduling capability desired. Successful candidate must maintain a valid driver's license.
