Position Overview
The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for managing retail sales, assisting customers, processing orders, and handling key office tasks to support daily operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in the windows and doors industry to ensure an efficient and professional sales process.
Additionally, this role requires hands-on support , including assisting with the unloading of windows and doors for deliveries to the office. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with light physical labor as part of their regular duties.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Management
Work closely with homeowners and walk-in customers to identify their needs and recommend the best window and door solutions.
Learn and use manufacturer quoting software to generate quotes for customers.
Follow up on leads, convert inquiries into sales , and ensure timely order processing.
Assist in educating customers about product features, pricing, and financing options .
Office Operations & Order Management
Assist with ordering windows and doors , ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Review and acknowledge orders from manufacturers to confirm details and delivery schedules.
Manage customer files and documentation , including quotes, order confirmations, and invoices.
Work closely with vendors and suppliers to track order statuses and resolve issues.
Maintain a well-organized showroom and ensure product samples are up to date.
Scheduling & Coordination
Schedule sales appointments, installations, deliveries, and final measurements with customers.
Coordinate with the operations and installation teams to ensure timely project completion.
Communicate with customers regarding project updates, delivery timelines, and any changes.
Product Deliveries & Inventory Support
Assist with unloading windows and doors from deliveries to the office.
Verify product accuracy upon delivery and ensure proper storage.
Work with the operations team to track and manage inventory levels .
Collaboration & Leadership
Maintain strong communication with the company owner and team members to ensure alignment on sales and operational goals.
Train and assist new retail sales associates in quoting, order processing, and customer interactions.
Work collaboratively with marketing and client services to develop strategies for increasing sales.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3 years of experience in the window and door industry (retail or contractor sales).
Proficiency in quoting software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Strong sales and customer service skills , with a focus on problem-solving and product education.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in order processing.
Comfortable with light physical labor , including unloading windows and doors during deliveries.
Proficiency in CRM software, QuickBooks, or order management tools is a plus.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently.
Strong communication and leadership skills .

Compensation & Growth Opportunities
