Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, including order fulfillment and inventory management, and possess strong skills in basic math and equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and reach trucks, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling products.
- Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and reach trucks; certification is a plus.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move items as needed throughout the workday.
