Quality Control Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION
The shipping and receiving clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, records backorders and corresponds with owner to rectify damages and shortages.
- Operates POS System and Carrier shipment programs.
- File all prescription hard copies.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies at all times.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
- Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, packaging of products to be shipped, and arrangement of carrier services.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Required to speak with customers in a courteous manor involving shipping issues and payment issues.
- Working well with other teammates to insure problems with shipping are avoided.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment can be moderate. This position requires frequent sitting, walking and lifting.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items of about 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Travel
Minimal. There may be a special incident where you are asked to drop off a package at a carrier.
Required Education and Experience
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
- High school diploma
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with UPS and FedEX online shipping.
- Minimum of a high school education and one year of related experience in shipping and receiving.
- Pharmacy Technician License
