What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot?
Job Overview: KPot Server
A KPot Server must possess exceptional customer service skills, as well as a solid understanding of food handling regulations. Servers will greet guests, answer questions regarding the menu, our restaurant concept, and alcohol questions. As a Korean BBQ restaurant, basic cooking/grilling knowledge is recommended as cooking for customers is a customary tradition. Servers are required to run their own food as well as up-keeping ones area/section throughout the shift.
Candidates are required to go through four days of paid training prior to being hired. Training will consist of bussing tables, running food, cleaning, situational training, and alcohol training.
Shift schedule:
Lunch shift:
11:00AM- 5:00PM 7 days a week
Dinner shift:
5:00PM- Close Monday-Thursday
4:00PM-Close Friday-Sunday
Job Requirements:
-Arriving to work on time every time
-Up-keeping personal hygiene as well as the ability to look professional
-Ability to project a professional and friendly image to customers at all times
-Basic math skills
-Multitasking in high stress and high volume situations
-Being able to attend staff meeting once every two weeks
Salary:
Servers will be paid a base hourly of $3 an hour. At KPot, servers will work for their own tips with potential to earn upwards an average of $15- $50 an hour in tips alone.
Training candidates will be paid $12 an hour for the four days of training whether or not they are selected for the job.
