- Carries out human resources programs by providing human resources services, inlcuding employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and by completing personnel transactions.
- Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action.
- Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; proposing and evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; and coaching and counseling managers and employees.
- Completes special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; forming conclusions and recommendations.
- Manages expectations by communicating project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; and preparing reports.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
- Determines employment suitability by evaluating data from employment related references and background checks (where appropriate) and recommends employment actions based on the same.
- Counsel employees and supervisors on various employee relations issues including disciplinary action, performance difficulties, conflicts, terminations, promotions, and conducts investigations through resolution. Etc.
- Recommends new or changed policies as necessary to reflect changes and new practices.
- Coordinates company response to unemployment claims with our third-party administrator.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or anequivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SPHR certification is highly desirable.
- Bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English, preferred not required
- 2 to 5 years of experience as an HR professional within a structured HR function is required.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, service, or distribution environment is desired.
