Position Overview:
As a Security Officer at our Arlington, Virginia location, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at an office building. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle security-related situations with professionalism and calm. Shifts are available across the 2nd, and 3rd shifts, providing flexibility for part-time work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control entry and exit points for authorized personnel only
- Conduct regular patrols to maintain site security and deter unauthorized activities
- Write detailed incident and activity reports for each shift
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches
- Provide a professional and approachable presence when assisting clients, employees, and visitors
- Operate security equipment such as radios and CCTV systems
- Collaborate with fellow security personnel and local law enforcement if necessary
Qualifications:
- Valid DC SPO
- Prior experience in security, report writing, and access control
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- De-escalation Training
- Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay range: $21 to $23 per hour, based on experience

What We Are Looking For:
- Valid DC Special Police Officer Security License is required. DC SPO and Maryland Guard Card, preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear, detailed reports.
- Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Experience in general security duties, patrols, and access control preferred.
- A dependable work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and work overnight or rotating shifts as needed.
