K44 is seeking an experienced Sales Leader for a premier manufacturer/distributor in the building products industry.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and guiding a team of sales representatives within a team by setting goals and quotas, building a sales plan and assigning sales training and territories.
- Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Directing sales forecasting activities and setting performance goals accordingly.
- Reviewing market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Advising dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
- Analyzing sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
- Directing product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
- Representing company at trade association meetings to promote products.
- Delivering sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
- Preparing periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client based expansion.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Countertop experience highly preferred
- Must have prior or current supervisory experience
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Good business sense
- Ability to motivate, coach, mentor and lead a team
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good planning and organization skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or two to four years of related experience and/or training
