Job Description: K5 Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and background in estate planning, tax law, and non-profit organizations. This role will be instrumental in advancing legal and wealth transfer strategies to optimize positions managed by the organization. This role offers a challenging and exceptional career opportunity and will involve collaborating closely with our general counsel and leadership cohort, including investment, finance, and legal professionals. Working in our single-family office will provide exposure to a variety of subject areas and the opportunity to learn and apply new skillsets through your work product. This position will be based in-office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate, develop and implement wealth planning strategies to ensure the efficient preservation and transfer of wealth for multiple generations.
- Apply knowledge of legal risks and concepts to strategically develop recommendations for key stakeholders.
- Conduct research and stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
- Advise on and monitor legal/tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide counsel on the formation and management of non-profit organizations, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including trusts, trust administration actions, contracts, and agreements.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as financial advisors and accountants, to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
- Work closely with the general counsel and leadership cohort (investment, finance, tax) to develop and implement strategies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Experience in estate planning, tax law, and non-profit organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications that Set You Ahead:
