Summary

As a Professional Pet Groomer, you will be essential in providing high-quality grooming services while ensuring the well-being of pets in your care. Reporting to the Owner, you will utilize your core skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Your premium skills in dog handling will enhance the grooming process, while relevant skills in pet grooming will support a safe and efficient work environment. Job Responsibilities are as followed (and not limited to)

• Admit pets to be groomed noting owner's specific instructions, contact information and pick up time.
• Bathing, brushing, heavy lifting, shaving and scissor trimming.
• Ear cleaning, plucking, nail trimming, and expression of anal glands (upon request).
• Perform all general maintenance of the grooming room; clean and disinfect cages, tubs, grooming tables, daily; vacuum floor; mop floor; empty trash; clean clipper blades, scissors, and brushes after use; perform monthly dryer and clipper maintenance.
• Always ensures the safety of the dog during their grooming appointment.
• Return customer messages promptly and scheduling.
• Other tasks as deemed necessary.

Essential Skills

• Grooming experience is highly recommended.
• Photos of work experience is required as part of the application process.
• Ability to groom based on general breed standards and customer requests.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to remain calm under pressure and during stressful situations.
• Able to work with a large variety of dog breeds with dogs up to 100 lbs.
• Able to interact with customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Provides breed-specific standard grooms, and /or follow client's instructions so pets are groomed to specifications and satisfaction of the client.
• Great scissoring skills
• Cleaning responsibilities

Requirements

• Ability to life 50lbs
• Previous grooming experience is preferred
• Excellent Customer Service
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a valid driver's license

Schedule

• Available 4-5 days per week with flexible hours based on availability.
• Weekend availability (flexible)

Pay:

• This is a commission-based position so the sky's the limit.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
