Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager for our Luxury Dog Resort to join our team. In this role, you will support the team, overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, with a strong ability to lead and manage others and various tasks efficiently while fostering a welcoming environment for both guests and staff.

  • Train, develop, and coach all staff members.
  • Develop, implement, communicate, administer, and refine policies, procedures, and processes for efficient and effective resort operations within brand standards.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards.
  • Responsible for scheduling and staff payroll.
  • Operate within the scope of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Handles customer feedback and leverages it into opportunities.
  • Able to perform any aspects of staff member's job role.
  • Other duties as assigned.

A successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building, employee coaching, and development skills.
  • Strong communication skills, spoken and written.
  • Understanding of sales and operations.
  • Capable of understanding dog safety, well-being, and behavior.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and dog boarding / kennel reservation platforms such as Ginger.
  • Knowledge in business, hotel operations, dog boarding, or dog daycare is a plus.
  • Comfortable with front desk operations, lodging operations of our accommodations, managing group dog play, individual dog play, and janitorial aspects of operation.

Past Experiences May Include:

  • Hospitality settings such as: restaurants, hotels, country clubs, athletic and fitness clubs.
  • Strong animal handling skills are found in veterinary, vet, pet grooming, and pet store experiences.
  • Background as a veterinary assistant or experience in dog day care or kennel management is highly desirable.
  • Customer experience found in customer service roles (CSR) and retail, in a lead, or supervisor role.
  • Proficiency in pet care practices, including dog handling techniques.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in various operational tasks.
  • Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff alike.
  • Roes with a attention to detail in managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • A demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution within a hospitality setting.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
