JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Production Staffing Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating employee work schedules in alignment with production requirements. This role works closely with the Production Scheduler, Operations Manager, and HR to optimize labor efficiency, reduce overtime, and ensure compliance with scheduling policies—including ensuring that employees receive at least one day off per week.
This position is also responsible for entering schedules into the HRIS/payroll system, updating schedules in real time as needed, and posting schedules in accessible locations for employees. Additionally, the Production Staffing Coordinator will communicate directly with employees regarding schedule changes, notify them when they are not needed for a shift, and ensure all updates are clearly conveyed in a timely manner.
Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Understand my role in food safety and regulatory responsibilities as required by the SQF Food Safety Code and report any food safety concerns to initiate appropriate action.

Education Level and Focus:
High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
Years and Type of Related Experience Required:
1-3 years of experience in operations, production coordination, or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.

Scheduling & Workforce Management

Physical Demands:
Ability to sit and work in front of a computer terminal for long periods (may sit for approx. 7 hours with 2 hour intervals being in a stationary sitting position). May lift up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment:
Office environment with low to moderate noise levels. May be required to go in to warehouse area with high noise levels, wet floors, forklift and pedestrian traffic, extreme hot/cold climate. This is a Safety Sensitive position.
