What are the responsibilities and job description for the RO Lab Assistant position at KAGOME INC?
JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
- Collect sensory samples and set up sensory panel for evaluation in a timely manner.
- Properly dilute samples to appropriate NTSS.
- Ensure sensory panel is coordinated on schedule.
- Collect and summarize sensory results.
- Ensure communication of sensory results is distributed on a daily basis.
- Sanitation of area before and after sensory panel is conducted.
- Coordinate shipment of sensory samples, as necessary.
- Calibrate all equipment to be used for analytical testing and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Ensure all customer specific parameters of quality are met by laboratory testing.
- Accurately follows written laboratory procedures.
Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Understand that I am responsible for reporting food safety issues observed so appropriate action can be taken. Actively participate and support the 5S and MES initiatives.

- 5% Calibration, Maintenance & Troubleshooting as necessary.
- 5% Other duties as directed by Quality Management.

POSITION DIMENSIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Internal Contacts:
Direct contact with all Plant Management staff, Procurement, and RO.
External Contacts:
Be diplomatic and clear as a Customer and Supplier liaison when required by Management.
Education Level and Focus:
Minimum high school diploma. Some college courses in a science field are preferred.
Years and Type of Related Experience Required:
Preferably, one yearof food processing quality lab experience
