What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Manager / Team Leader position at Kahn Architecture?
Kahn Architecture is a mid-sized, interiors-focused architecture firm in search of a senior level architectural professional who has minimum of 10 years’ experience in Project Management of Corporate Interior Projects. We are looking for someone who can mentor junior team members as well as support and strengthen the firm’s deliverables and enhance the client interaction experience. A strong candidate should have excellent skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously, conduct drawing reviews, code reviews and have strong AutoCAD skills as well as extensive construction administration experience for our corporate interior clients in the tri-state area and across the US.
Responsibilities
The position requires you to work with the firm’s ownership and directors on our corporate interior accounts and in spearheading the client interaction. Responsibilities also include writing meeting minutes, developing project schedules and preparing preliminary proforma budgets for our office interiors, building core facilities, building lobby and other real estate driven improvement projects for building owners and tenants. Candidates must have a extensive understanding of all phases of the project process especially in the coordination of required project consultants including MEP and structural engineering, acoustical engineering and familiarity with building department filing requirements, i.e. DOB NOW process. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be able to work with other team members and ownership to meet project goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience with previous experience working in a corporate interior’s architecture office.
- A professional degree in architecture or interior design.
- High level understanding of interior construction.
- Experience with shop drawings and submittal review and their impact to the construction process including scheduling and costs.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- New York/Tri-State area resident preferred.
- Be a U.S. citizen, or already possess a work visa for working in the U.S.
