Urine Toxicology Operations SME
Department: Lab
Reports to: Lab Manager
Status: Exempt, Salary
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 9 am-6 pm Mon-Friday or 8 am-5pm Monday -Friday
Kai Shin clinic is dedicated to helping those with substance use disorders and mental health. We are a clinic that has been in operation 7 years, and have 4 locations. We are a fast growing organization and there is room to grow in this position if there is interest. More special projects are on the horizon as our lab and clinic continue to grow.
This position will work on the front end/partnership sites for the lab team, and must have excellent customer service, critical thinking skills, training skills, and willingness to drive around. Attention to detail is a must. This position will be a part of the lab team and report to the lab manager. Urine toxicology operations subject matter experts will help with managing the urinalysis collection process/documentation with current and future partnerships. This position requires a lot of independent work, but there is some team work involved. Must be a team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train new UA collectors on urine specimen collection and proper documentation
- Confirm accuracy on urine samples with lab req form
- Collect urine samples at partner sites to assist
- Ensure accuracy of physician orders to partnership orders
- Drive to partnership sites to train collectors as needed
- Track down missing orders or forms
- Interact with counselors and providers to complete UA documentation
- May assist with sort/accession urine specimens/create appointments in patient schedule as needed
- Scan documents into patient charts accurately
- Educate all clinicians and potentially patients or vendors on toxicology as appropriate
- Conduct monthly education internally for staff, and externally monthly for partner sites
- Be present and available to answer new partner site questions, community based webinars or in person educational meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to sit and stand for computer work, walk, drive, and carry less than 10LBS
- Have a driver's license, insurance and car
