Position Title: Inside Plant Technician Senior
Work Location: Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, CO
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
Job Summary
KaiHonua, LLC has an immediate opening for an Inside Plant Technician Senior to join our rapidly growing team. The employee shall have ISP experience on maintenance, installation, testing, voice mail system, firewall and repair of NIPRNET and SIPRNET telecommunications equipment and systems. They should also be able to enable or disable customer features; i.e., call forwarding, redial last number, etc.; and activate and de-activate voice mail accounts. The employee will also operate, maintain, and repair multiplexers, fiber optic multiplexers, and other equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:
- Tests cables in accordance with plans and procedures prior to installation and completing forms.
- Splices cable and properly installs splice enclosures.
- Troubleshoots cable solution problems.
- Maintains compliance with all applicable building and fire code regulations
- Complete service orders (program telephone switch, update assignments, extend service to customer) and trouble tickets (test, troubleshoot and repair) for all approved moves, add, and changes
- Additional duties as required.
Compensation Minimum: $65,000
Compensation Maximum: $75,000

Education/Experience/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or other related discipline is preferred or have equivalent experience.
- Five to 7 years’ experience preferred
- Minimum of BICSI installer training

- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines and find preventative solutions while troubleshooting
- Manage multiple complex technical initiatives simultaneously

Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
Security Clearance
Position requires a Secret security clearance. Must be a US citizen.
