Position Title: Outside Plant Technician Senior

Work Location: Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, CO

Salary Range: $60,000-$72,000

Job Summary

KaiHonua, LLC has an immediate opening for an Outside Plant Technician Senior to join our rapidly growing team. The employee shall maintain, install, move, and remove above-ground cable, including copper, coaxial, aerial, and fiber optic cable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

• Test cables in accordance with plans and procedures prior to installation and completing forms.
• Splice cables and properly install splice enclosures.
• Troubleshoot cable solution problems
• Maintain compliance with all applicable building and fire code regulations.
• Respond to service requests and isolate and repair telephone, NIPRNET and SIPRNET data troubles, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and fine-tune components such as switches, routers, firewalls, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) concentrators within the overall network
• Perform annual maintenance and inspections to the tower structures including items such as all lighting elements on the tower (LED or incandescent), antennas, Tower Top Amplifiers (TTAs), and ancillary equipment attached to the tower
• Additional duties as required.

Compensation Minimum: $60,000

Compensation Maximum: $72,000

Education/Experience/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or other related discipline is preferred or have equivalent experience.
• Five to 7 years’ experience preferred
• Minimum of BICSI installer training

• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines and find preventative solutions while troubleshooting
• Manage multiple complex technical initiatives simultaneously
• Exceptional time management skills
• Takes initiative and demonstrates accountability

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Security Clearance

Position requires a Secret security clearance. Must be a US citizen.
