Job Shop Machinist – Mill Operator

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various machining processes. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines, ensuring precision in the manufacturing of components, and contributing to our commitment to quality and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

· Read technical drawings and CAD models and machine components from blanks or bar stock material.

· Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished products.

· Participate in weekly (and as needed) meetings pertaining to scheduling and tasks that need to be completed.

· Perform setup, adjustments and maintenance on milling machines.

· Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.

Job Skills and Qualifications

· Strong mechanical knowledge with ability to solve problems and resolve issues.

· Excellent organizational and communication skills.

· A self-starter that can work alone or as a part of a team.

· Blueprint reading – (detail and assembly prints)

· Precision measurement reading such as calipers, micrometers and gages.

· Ability to operate machines effectively and safely.

· Proficiency in manual milling procedures with experience on TRAK mills preferred.
