What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supported Employment Coach position at Kairos Home Care Services?
We are looking for Supported Employment Coaches to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable.
If you are looking for a rewarding career and you have passion and motivation on helping people, this is a unique opportunity, an alternative to an uninspiring boring job.
We are a home and community-based Medicaid waiver provider serving the state of Florida. We commit to impart premium quality care to persons with intellectual and physical disabilities under APD Medicaid Waiver Program. We lead the way in providing living solutions meeting our customers goals. Our clients, together with our dedicated and experienced staff, will flourish in a supported living setting. We do train.
Supported Employment is for individuals with disabilities who may need assistance locating a job and/or with initial job training, beyond what an employer may provide.
Supported Employment Program helps job seekers with intellectual and developmental disabilities find work. The individuals served are paired with a Job Coach who assists them in finding a job and provides on-the-job training once the person is hired.
Each person's needs are accessed and the level of support will vary with each person. The Job Coach remains with the person at the job site working one-on-one with him/her until: the individual develops the skills required to perform the job independently, is comfortable with his/her position, and the employer is satisfied with performance levels. Once the Job Coach is no longer needed, a follow-along Coach is assigned to provide the supports needed to maintain employment, if required.
Our Job Coaches encourage support from the person’s natural environment and provide assistance in a number of areas. Job Coaches have direct service roles providing:
- Employability Skills Training Classes
- Guidance in Career Planning and Job Development
