Kaiser Logistics, Inc. is the market leading freight broker focusing on open-deck LTL freight across all 48 states and Canada. We have an immediate need for a Business Development Manager to help us maintain our position and grow in the freight brokerage industry.

Position Summary

We are looking for a self-starter and target driven sales professional focused on consultative selling and relationship building with strong prospecting and negotiation skills to join our team as a Business Development Manager. This role is responsible for revenue and profit growth through new account acquisition and growing existing customers. This is an individual contributor role that will require team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new account acquisition opportunities, this includes prospecting on the phone, via email and in person and completing necessary research.
  • Partner with account management team to expand business within existing accounts and create new business quotes.
  • Establish, build and maintain strong and long-lasting relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Identify prospect and customers needs to offer the best customized service solution.
  • Providing sales presentations and proposals.
  • Utilize CRM to manage opportunities through the sales process and to create a robust pipeline.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of sales process and service offerings.
  • Represent Kaiser Logistics at tradeshows
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets.
  • Attend sales meetings as scheduled and other job responsibilities as assigned by Logistics Leadership.



Qualifications

  • 2 years of relevant B2B (sales) experience
  • Self-motivated, target driven with strong work ethic
  • Experienced and skilled in prospecting and cold calling
  • Proven track record of consultative, solution-based sales and active listing abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation expertise
  • Ability to balance persuasion and professionalism
  • Strong team collaboration
  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • Logistics experience (Preferred)
