We are looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our Accounting Department. Someone with curiosity, a career growth mindset, and a strong desire to keep learning. This person will work with and be mentored by our CFO, who began with Kaiser as our Accounting Manager 15 years ago, and who both understands and relates to the challenges and opportunities of the role. This person will have a strong understanding of GAAP, possess strong analytical skills, and wants to work in an environment where questions are welcomed. Core Responsibilities:
- Supervises Billing, Accounts Receivable/Collections, and Accounts Payable
- Performs general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Analyzes and reports on financial statement variances
- Manages month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepares sales and use tax and franchise tax returns
- Prepares, reviews, and submits periodic financial reports
- Maintains documented policies and procedures
Future (Developed Over Time) Responsibilities:
- Implements and monitors ongoing accounting schedules
- Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts
- Engages in ongoing cost reduction analysis
- Trains new and existing accounting staff based on business needs
- Identifies opportunities to improve accounting processes and collaborates with leadership to implement change
- Performs other trained duties as taught and assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred) or,
- Associate's degree in accounting or finance (required)
- Two years of accounting supervisory experience (required)
- Strong Knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Experience with TruckMate (preferred)
- One year of experience in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or construction (preferred)
- Position is based on-site, not eligible for remote work

Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
