Position Summary:

Kaitech Automation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Controller to join our team in Caldwell, Idaho. As an Accounting Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial management, and leadership, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts to senior management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage annual budgets, perform variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and prevent fraud.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings and financial audits.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Audit Management: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, addressing issues or findings to ensure successful audit outcomes.
• Reporting Tools: Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to maintain accurate financial records and streamline reporting processes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QBO) and ERP systems. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Compliance: In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
