Overview
The position of Director of Membership is responsible for, but not limited to the development of sales and the solicitation of new memberships, creating and nurturing relationships, retention of existing members and informing prospective members of the Kaiya Club Membership offering. This individual must be able to promote sales through comprehensive sales efforts, social media, networking and cultivating referrals.
Responsibilities
- Consistently meets with, welcomes, and entertains clients & guests and conducts site visits/ membership/Vacation rental services appointments in a hospitable and professional manner reflective of a five-star service environment.
- Responsible for explaining the benefits of Kaiya Beach’s Vacation Rental Services to prospective owners.
- Shop the competition to ensure Kaiya Beach is competitive in our offerings
- Execute membership applications, vacation rental services agreements, establish payment terms, participate in all levels of new member/owner orientations and on-going sales relationship activities.
- Solicit business inquiries, lead, and qualify business to generate new memberships and/or vacation rental agreements. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with direct clients, real estate professionals, and social communities.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and direct sales owner solicitation and follow up, site inspections, and entertainment as outlined.
- Manage membership expenses, vacation rental billing and departmental forecasting.
- Be available to meet with sales prospects daily to answer any club questions.
- Oversee Advisory Board of Members and vacation rental owners
- Update Member’s Only website with club events and information and manage the vacation rental owner portal and provide content for vacation rental management navigation on the website.
- Create member programming and calendar of events for Kaiya Beach
- Provide prompt response to member/Vacation Rental Services calls and inquiries
- Develop and maintain a great rapport with existing membership/Vacation rental owners to secure sponsors for prospective buyers new to the area.
- Responsible for correspondence relating to membership/vacation rental services marketing and enrollment.
- Update and monitor prospective database.
- Follow up with member/vacation rental services prospects (phone call, letter or email).
- Organize and participate in new member/vacation rental services orientations and quarterly gatherings.
- Participate in planning of public relations campaigns and media events, to organize and maximize event and campaign impact.
- Participate in working the member events as scheduled.
- Interact with local community groups such as Chambers of Commerce to “network” the club and vacation rental services
- Attend staff and other required meetings as established by the Resort GM
- All communications and tasks should be completed with the highest level of detail and professionalism including luxury language with polished written and verbal communications.
- Coordinate amenities, client gifts, pre-arrival, and courtesy services for on property members, as assigned.
- Create positive relationships with other departments to ensure success of all owners, owners’ guests, and leisure customers.
- Remain flexible in a demanding, sales focused environment. Welcome new tasks, training and responsibilities as assigned.
- Be a positive contributor to the daily team environment and success of the sales team and overall financial objectives.
- Participate in daily/weekly sales meetings and revenue management meetings.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and local community.
Qualifications
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities with the ability to persuasively articulate the privileges and costs of becoming a Kaiya Club member at all three levels.
- Become an expert in all aspects of vacation rental program an associated service
- Work in close partnership with Real Estate team
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to manage oneself with the ability to organize & prioritize, and complete work assignments in a timely manner while maintaining the desire and ability to prospect new business with existing owners and new potential buyers. Overcome roadblocks and objections with critical thinking skills. • Information research, analysis, and evaluation skills.
- Knowledge of office management principles and procedures, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse operation.
- Practice the highest level of discretion, capable of maintaining sensitive/confidential information.
- Bachelor's degree Preferred or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of work experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.
