Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and carpentry, with the ability to read blueprints and execute projects with precision. This role involves constructing, repairing, and renovating structures using bricks, blocks, and other materials. The Brick Mason will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
Brick Mason Duties
- Build and repair walls, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, or stone.
- Perform installation tasks related to masonry work including plastering and trim carpentry.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and masonry equipment effectively for construction tasks.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure seamless integration of masonry work into larger projects.
- Renovate existing structures by replacing damaged materials and ensuring structural integrity.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
Brick Mason Qualifications
- Proven experience in masonry work with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery related to masonry and carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately to guide construction efforts.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry principles is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
