Job Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contract role at our long-term care facility in Taunton, MA. This position offers flexible scheduling, allowing the LPN to choose their own shifts based on availability. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of experience as an LPN, with preference given to those who have worked in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care setting, or nursing home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treatments, and monitoring health conditions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Observe and document residents’ conditions and report any changes to the supervising RN or physician.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as feeding, dressing, and mobility support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure quality care.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other support staff.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and follow appropriate protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active and unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of LPN experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care facility, or nursing home is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different shifts and assignments.
