Last Bite -Candy Production

Summary/Objective
A Candy Shop production is responsible for assisting the Candy Shop Manager the supervisors in overseeing of The Last Bite Candy Shop and kitchen operation.

Essential Functions

• Assisting in the preparation of food items for the Candy Shoppe
• Assuring the proper preparation of all items for the Candy Shoppe
• Assisting in ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen, and storage areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio.
• Setting daily goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish all tasks and projects.
• Assuring all prep work is completed and items are properly labeled in accordance with Health Department regulations
• Preparing an order sheet of low, or out of items for lead cashier to place for the following day.
• Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the facility recipes, portioning, cooking, timing, serving, and presentation standards.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the culinary preventative maintenance programs.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the kitchen areas, associates and guests.
• Participate in training classes and Daily Promise shift meetings.

• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal service skills and organizational skills to plan time effectively.
• Bi-lingual skills are preferred but not required.
• Ability to calculate figures amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail.
• Ability to get along well with others, to demonstrate flexibility and patience, to work as a member of a team.
• Knowledge of food trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentations.

• Food handling certificationmay be required according to legal regulations

None.

Work Environment

This job operates in an active and laud environment. Frequent changes in environment temperature (kitchen heat, walking coolers and freezers).

Physical Demands
The Associate is occasionally required to run; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch. Constantly required to stand and walk, reach and grasp. The Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, with various work hours and days, based on business needs. This position regularly requires evening, weekend and holiday work.

Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma preferred but not required.

1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant/food outlets production kitchen is preferred.
