Kalamazoo Garden Solutions (KGS) is seeking a passionate Team Lead to oversee a team and support merchandising efforts in West Michigan. If you have leadership experience and a love for plants, this is a great opportunity to make an impact at a national retailer!

How long with KGS? Joined KGS in 2012, starting through a temp agency, and promoted to Regional Manager after two years as a Field Manager.Prior Experience? Before KGS, Shannon worked in retail operations and as a General Manager and Buyer for a clothing store.Passionate About? Shannon is deeply passionate about spending time with her two daughters, traveling, home decorating, and caring for her two dogs.Troy Haas – Merchandising Manager
How long with KGS? Joined KGS in 2023 as Merchandising Manager for West Michigan.Prior Experience? Troy spent 25 years as a District Manager at Walgreens, gaining extensive leadership and merchandising experience.Passionate About? Troy is passionate about ministry, community service, fishing, traveling, and cherishing quality time with his family.Key Responsibilities :
Lead a team of merchandisers in setting up and maintaining plant displays according to store layout.Provide daily updates to management and ensure smooth operations across stores.Ensure proper watering practices and maintain plant health.Audit and ensure that all signage is updated in a timely manner for promotions and sales.Work independently and in a team setting to meet daily goals and expectations.Position Requirements :
City of Residence : Candidates must live in close proximity to our local client retail service location(s), which will be confirmed during the pre-interview process.Experience effectively leading a team.Reliable Transportation : Reliable transportation is required to commute to work.Flexible Schedule : A commitment of at least 2 days per week for 4-hour shifts is required. Additional shifts may be available upon request.Physical Fitness : Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push, pull, and remain active for the duration of their shift.Qualifications :
Prior merchandising or retail experience is a bonus.Prior experience in team management.Willingness / desire to do the work alongside your team.Ability to hold a schedule and be organized.Reliability is essential.Strong customer service oriented attitude.What We Offer :
