Position Details
The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) is a critical part of Michigan’s education system serving the Greater Kalamazoo region and provides specialized services to schools and communities and optimizes resources by centralizing innovative programs and services. We partner with school districts and the broader community to offer essential programs including early childhood education, special education, career learning, and educator development, ensuring that learners of all ages receive the support they need.
We are currently seeking a Career Connect Campus Receptionist at the Career Connect Campus (opening in August 2025) in Portage , Michigan.
This is an 12 month calendar position in job grade 12 with an annual rate of pay between $34,452 and $50,425.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Greet and welcome visitors, students, and staff with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Answer incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and take accurate messages
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Assist with coordination of professional learning events within Career Connect Campus
- Coordinate student parking passes with administration and student ID’s
- Oversee substitute systems to minimize any disruptions to student learning
- Respond to inquiries from students, parents, staff and community members via phone, email, or in person
- Utilize the campus security systems for maintaining a safe learning environment for staff and students
- Coordinate with facilities team and supply chain program to manage deliveries
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Assist with data entry, document management, and maintaining accurate records for campus operations
- Monitor visitor access by issuing badges and maintaining visitor logs
- Play an active role in hosting campus events including orientations, open houses, parent-teacher conferences, etc.
- Ensure office supplies are stocked by monitoring inventory and placing orders as needed
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Education and / or Experience :
Required : High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Preferred customer service experience in a school office environment, experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite
