Our carefully crafted programs provide students the tools to grow and fully express themselves creatively, and thrive in a community of like-minded musicians.
We are looking for exceptional people to teach private lessons in downtown Kalamazoo. In this role, you will work alongside a dedicated team of performing arts educators and administrators to deliver our signature approach to children age four and up and adults of all ages.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE IS EXCITED TO:
- Inspire children, primarily ages 5 - 11 (and some adults), into their musical and artistic potential by teaching weekly private lessons in 30, 45, or 60 minute increments (both in-person and virtually as requested).
- Tailor repertoire and lesson materials for each student.
- Facilitate student/family education on home practice through our online student hub and via our student binder system.
- Collaboratively direct and produce school-wide performances in December, March, and June.
- Attend and contribute passionately to our monthly team catch-ups.

THE ESSENTIALS:
- A minimum of six months to one year of private teaching experience.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or Bachelor's in Progress) with a major or minor in music and/or relevant teaching experience.
- Background checks are required.
- Hours of Work: weekday's, weekends, afternoons, and evenings available
WORKING WITH US:
- Our administrative office manages all student enrollments, payments, scheduling, and marketing so you can focus on teaching.

PAYMENT: $28.40 per teaching hour for one-on-one lessons, $42/hour for group lessons.
