Core Duties:
- Operation of Crushing and Screening Equipment: Operates and monitors portable rock crushing and screening plants, including jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers, screens, conveyors, and related equipment. Adjusts equipment settings to achieve desired product size and quality.
- Material Handling: Loads and unloads materials using appropriate equipment (e.g., front-end loaders, excavators - if applicable and operator certified). Ensures proper material flow through the crushing and screening process. Manages stockpiles and ensures proper segregation of different rock types and sizes.
- Maintenance and Repair: Performs routine maintenance on crushing and screening equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection. Identifies and reports mechanical problems. Assists with repairs as needed. Performs pre-shift and post-shift inspections.
- Safety Compliance: Adheres to all company and MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) safety regulations and procedures. Conducts pre-operational checks of equipment and work areas. Participates in safety meetings and training programs. Promotes a safe working environment for themselves and others.
