JOB SUMMARY
The IT CO-OP is responsible for advising, implementing, and maintaining the electronic infrastructure of Kaleidoscope – servers, laptops, workstations, phones, and security.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Provide Staff Education & Support (60%)
- Train end users on internal applications as needed
- Field support calls/requests from users for application and equipment help
- Respond to user and equipment emergencies
- Stay current with IT equipment and security trends
2.
Maintain Corporate IT & Communications Systems (40%)
- Physically maintain all systems within Kaleidoscope, all locations
- Assist with development of workflows and documentation detailing business processes
- Troubleshoot application errors
- Measure performance for implemented internal projects, ensuring results meet or exceed established goals
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the course/completion of a Bachelor’s degree or related field; Associates Degree plus significant experience considered
- 1-2 years’ technical experience in a corporate or medical setting desired
Licenses/Credentials/Certifications
- Certifications in related system administration or technical specialties highly desired
Skills/Specialized Knowledge/Abilities
- Experienced in providing user phone support and over Microsoft Teams/Remote Control software.
- Ability to coach users of all types remotely, with patience and calm demeanor.
- Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems. including: Windows 10 and 11 Professional.
- Basic knowledge of networking.
- Advanced knowledge of Office 365 applications is desired.
- Knowledge of Dell servers, workstations, and mobile computers highly desired.
- Consistent proven ability to troubleshoot accurately and efficiently.
- Advanced ability to prioritize and complete tasks and deliver desired outcomes.
- Ability to work independently, stay focused and committed to task.
- Excellent oral communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Tools and Equipment Used
- Personal computer, copier, scanner, phone, and other typical office equipment
Travel
light – up to 10% of the time, or as need arises – usually within city
Physical & Mental Demands
- Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long period of time
- Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
- Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment and manipulation of small computer and phone equipment and wiring
- Heavy lifting and carrying of IT and phone equipment
- Requires ability to kneel on floor, crawl under desks, climb ladders to remove ceiling tiles for wiring, and related physical demands
- Ability to speak to and hear employees/clients via phone or in person
- Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move around the office environment
- Ability to analyze problems and conceive appropriate alternative solutions
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret building schematics as well as equipment
