Job Summary
As an Employment Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other barriers to employment in finding and maintaining suitable job placements. Your role will involve providing guidance, support, and resources to help clients achieve their employment goals.
Duties
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' skills, interests, and employment goals
- Develop individualized employment plans and strategies
- Provide job coaching, mentoring, and support to clients during the job search process
- Collaborate with employers to match clients with suitable job opportunities
- Assist clients in preparing for interviews and navigating the hiring process
- Stay informed about current labor laws and regulations related to employment
- Offer training and development opportunities to enhance clients' employability
- Educate clients on workplace expectations and professional behavior
Experience
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices
- Proficiency in conducting interviews and assessments
- Familiarity with workforce development programs and resources
- Understanding of employment labor laws and regulations
- Background in addiction counseling is a plus
- Ability to design and deliver training programs for skill development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.87 - $19.46 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evenings as needed
- Weekends as needed

- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
