Summary of Functions
The Store manager is responsible for overall operations of the Convenience Store including the fuel operations, LPG dispensing, the RV park and Storage units, produce, and deli operations. Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to store and fuel inventory control, cost control, personnel hiring and management of staff along with general administration, training and development of staff, and bottom line results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors, understands and ensures compliance to health, safety and environmental requirements and regulations as applicable to both store and fuel operations. (Tribal, State and Federal)
- Ensures that the convenience store is kept clean and safe-this includes its bathroom facilities, equipment and the grounds immediately adjacent to store.
- Ensures appropriate levels of inventory are maintained for both fuel operations and store and orders to maintain inventory at required levels.
- Consults with Regional Business Manager to ensure pricing and margins are consistent with established guidelines and makes recommendations for adjustments thereto in the best interest of the business.
- Establishes and maintains consistently high standards of customer service and vendor relations.
- Records, documents and reconciles stores daily, weekly and monthly store and fuel sales.
- Performs monthly inventories of stock and merchandise.
- Trains and develops staff in daily operations of the convenience store including fuel, LPG, produce, deli, and RV check in / out.
- Conducts employee performance evaluations.
- Prepares employee work schedules based on operational needs.
- Prepares annual operating budget and assists in development of the capital budget.
- Coordinates advertising in conjunction with our marketing team.
- Ensures integrity of the operation and is accountable for bottom line results of operation.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.
- Ensure control / protection of company assets.
- Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians, Internal Controls, and KTEA Policies and Procedures.
- May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.
- Responsible for the preparation of operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
