As Kalmbach Feeds continues to expand our warehousing and logistics operations, we are looking for high-energy, operations-savvy leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to be at the center of strategic growth. The Night Operations Manager will play a key role in driving performance, safety, and innovation within our 2nd and 3rd shift warehouse operations. Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead warehouse operations during 2nd and 3rd shifts, with accountability for outbound picking and shipping from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Directly manage two shift supervisors and oversee staffing needs to maintain optimal performance.
- Ensure the execution of warehouse processes in alignment with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Champion a culture of safety, leading initiatives that prioritize and improve workplace safety outcomes.
- Monitor and drive quality, efficiency, and order accuracy; develop and execute continuous improvement plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in customer service, manufacturing, and transportation to meet strategic business needs.
- Set clear goals and provide both formal and informal performance feedback to team members.
- Take a lead role in workforce development and help shape leadership capacity within warehouse operations.
- Play a foundational role in executing growth strategies tied to warehousing and logistics.
The Right Candidate:
- 4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management, OR 4 years of leadership experience in a distribution or warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated leadership success and the ability to foster accountability across shifts.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS); experience implementing or enhancing WMS is a plus.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and best safety practices.
- Experience with employee development, leadership training, and team building.
- Results-driven mindset with a continuous improvement approach to operations.
