Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales will be a core member of Kalon Capital’s leadership team, responsible for defining, building, and leading the company’s origination strategy across all target industries. The SVP will drive top-line revenue growth, oversee the full sales lifecycle from origination through closing, and ensure that all activities align with Kalon’s credit framework and business goals. This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader with deep industry knowledge, strong client relationships, and a passion for building a best-in-class sales function within a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Origination Planning:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to set clear, measurable origination and gross profit targets.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Kalon’s growth objectives and investment thesis.
Pipeline Development and Management:
- Consistently generate and manage a robust pipeline of high-quality deal flow that fits Kalon’s credit box and target industries.
- Qualify prospects, structure terms, and guide opportunities through the approval and closing processes.
Sales Execution and Revenue Growth:
- Lead the closing of profitable transactions to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Proactively identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities while deepening relationships with existing partners and clients.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Conduct regular (monthly and quarterly) reviews of pipeline activity, sales performance, and gross profit achievements.
- Provide strategic reporting and forecasting to the CEO and broader leadership team.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the face of Kalon Capital to key clients, maintaining and strengthening strategic partnerships.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and identifying opportunities for value creation.
Market Intelligence:
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activity, and developments in Kalon’s core segments.
- Provide insights and recommendations to adjust strategies and stay ahead of market shifts.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets within the equipment leasing and finance sectors.
- Strong entrepreneurial drive and hands-on mentality; thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; able to build credibility and trust with executive-level clients and internal stakeholders.
- Highly strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
- Exceptional financial acumen, with a strong grasp of credit, deal structuring, and ROI-focused selling.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree (MBA or related field) is a plus.
