Production Associate
Position Summary
Production Associates are team members that are responsible for the daily production and quality of the sub-assemblies and finished products we produce for our customers. Attention to detail and the ability to follow defined processes and procedures are essential for this position. We strive to develop high functioning teams, which are made up of people who have the proven ability to work together, but who can also work independently to complete assigned tasks as required. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment or knowledge of mechanical or electrical products is helpful, but not essential. We are willing to train people with the right attitude and who can demonstrate a willingness to learn. Kalow team members are often asked to support other departments and team members, so flexibility and a willingness to help get the job done is essential.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
· Have the ability to follow detailed work instructions, prints, and procedures.
· Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to efficiently and accurately assemble subcomponents and the finished product.
· Work with Management, Production Supervisor, Engineers, and other production personnel to ensure the quality of the product and resolve any assembly problems.
· Work independently or as a member of a team.
· Ensure tools and inventory are stored properly and kept organized.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Have a positive attitude and be team-oriented.

Job Requirements
Education
· A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
Experience and Certifications
· Preferred: 5 years of manufacturing or construction experience.
· Familiarity with basic electrical wiring or mechanical skills are preferred.
· Candidates can be entry-level as long as they can follow instructions; have a willingness to learn, and perform job operations timely sequential manner.
· Available Monday through Friday for first shift work, with occasional overtime.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
· Must be comfortable using hand and power tools
· Ability to lift 15-20 lbs. repeatedly with occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
· High energy and positive attitude with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and help to get things done as required.
