Kalwall Corporation, a very stable Family owned Manufacturing facility in Manchester has immediate openings.
A Saw Operator uses power saws to cut materials such as metal to specified sizes. This role requires attention to detail and knowledge of various types of saws and safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of saws.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Ability to use measuring tools.
- Basic math skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 .
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate saws to cut materials like metal.
- Select and install blades and other saw attachments appropriate to the material being cut.
- Position and secure material on the table of the saw.
- Measure and mark material for cutting.
- Start saws and observe operation to detect cutting problems.
- Adjust saw settings, blades, and other attachments.
- Perform basic maintenance on saws, such as cleaning and lubricating.
- Maintain records of production.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Experience:
- Previous experience operating a saw preferred.
Hours:
2nd shift - 4 PM to 12:30 AM
