As a hotel Front Office Manager, your duties include a mix of administrative, operational, and Food & Beverage tasks. Your responsibilities are to oversee daily operations for all departments, such as the housekeeping, front desks, and food & beverage departments, while also improving your hotel’s public image, revenue, and growth, hiring and training new staff, and handling guest relations to ensure a high-quality experience that can lead to improved customer relations. You also provide administrative support to the General Manager and carry out their policies.

Kalyan Hospitality is currently seeking a Front Office Manager for our Comfort Suites - Colonial Heights location.

Greet guests, function as desk clerk when needed, train desk clerks and auditors, handle guest complaints, establish and maintain reservations.

Monitor Desk Clerk performance and prepare disciplinary actions as needed

Conduct staff meetings

Supervises daily Food and Beverage (F&B) shift operation and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures

Manages day-to-day operations verifying that the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis

Maintains the operating budget, and verifies that standards and legal obligations are followed

Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.

Assists in the ordering of Food and Beverage (F&B) supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms

Supports and supervises an effective monthly self inspection program

Operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunction

Complete Daily Control Reports, review audit, count money, and make deposits in General Manager's absence

Interview and recommend candidates for hire

Supervises staffing levels to verify that guest service, operational needs, and financial objective are met

Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members

Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence

Monitors and maintains the productivity level of employees

Inspect 50% of guest rooms monthly for General Manager's inspection

Monitor safety measures and meetings

Coordinates cleaning program in all F&B areas (e.g., General clean), identifying trends and making recommendation for improvements

Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees

Maintain room inventories

Assist General Manager in all property operations and act for General Manager in his/her absence

Complete Kalyan Hospitality and/or Franchise Company training as required

Perform any other duties as assigned by General Manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of a 2-year college degree from an accredited university preferred OR solid hospitality work experience

Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage hourly staff

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

High Energy

Professional image, communicated through demeanor, dress and communication

Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays and nights depending on staffing needs

Proven work experience as a Front office manager

Choice Hotel International brands experience a huge plus

Ability to work any day of the week

Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures

Proficiency in English (oral and written)

Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word

Excellent communication and people skills

Good organizational and multitasking abilities

Problem-solving skills
