Established community association (condo/HOA law) firm that offers a tremendous opportunity for long term advancement and professional development opportunities is excited to add a Paralegal to our dynamic and engaging Columbus office that offers a tremendous opportunity to begin or continue a career in the legal field, with long term advancement and professional development opportunities.
Job Duties:
- Proofread, format, revise, and finalize attorney-client privileged correspondence
- Timely and effectively manage calendar and billing for attorneys this position will support
- Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including drafting legal documents, preparing exhibits, and organizing case files.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions.
- Organize and maintain electronic files, ensuring all documents are properly labeled and stored.
- Prepare and file court documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Excellent personal skills
- Must be available weekdays between 8:00am - 5:00pm for in-office work. An occasional weeknight or weekend may be required.
- Prior work experience required
- Must demonstrate dedication and hard work
- Most recent cumulative grade point average must be 3.0 or higher
- High school diploma required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Must contain excellent skills of full Microsoft Suite Microsoft Word, including the ability to create an automatic outline, print mailing labels, and insert/format multiple columns
- Ability to work high volume under pressure while still demonstrating excellent personal skills
