We are seeking a skilled AWS/Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments to support applications, systems, and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in both cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure.
- Analyze and assess on-premises environments to determine the best approach for migration (e.g., lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting).
- Assist with the execution of large-scale migrations from on-premises to AWS and Azure, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption to daily operations. Manage cloud migration activities, including data transfer, application re-configuration, and system integration.
- Utilize tools like AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and third-party solutions to streamline the migration process.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to track performance, availability, and health of cloud-based systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or ARM templates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate migration tasks and align on project goals.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure roles, specifically with AWS and/or Azure in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.) and Azure services (VMs, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Active Directory, etc.).
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security best practices, such as identity management, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection.
- Experience with automation and scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
