About the ideal candidate:
You would be a person who could hit the ground running with passion and the ability to learn quickly. Have the ability to set up, operate and maintain CNC cutting and bending machines while keeping up with a steady flow of work demands. You would have an eye for detail and the ability to analyze and anticipate problems. You will be ready with a solution when the situation calls for it. The ideal candidate knows that when operating a CNC machine, the idle time during long cycles is also a time when multitasking is most productive.
Functions and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Preform work in cutting and bending departments or other machine operation and or manual tasks as assigned.
- Enter data into ERP system, issue materials and log into operations.
- Interpret technical part drawings and files for cutting and or bending
- Quality control: verify and compare dimensions against part drawing specifications and tolerances using calipers, height gauges, Etc.
- Setup and operate CNC machines – Laser, Tube Laser, waterjet, Press brake
- Load and set up technical details for cutting or bending programs on machine
- Handle and Load raw sheet/plate materials onto machine via crane or forklift
- Select cutting gas and calibrate settings as required to cut materials per job specifics and company standards
- Unload, stack and organize cut parts and materials, check part quantity against bill of materials and job traveler.
- Deburr parts with hand tool or deburring machine as necessary
- Perform miscellaneous secondary operations: Tapping, countersinking Etc.
- Lift and move parts up to 70 Lbs
- Pack up and/or move materials to the next operation/location
- Perform preventative and daily maintenance on CNC machines
- Maintaining a clean and organized working environment per company standard
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of machine operation, programing and maintenance
- Experience with the following: flatbed Lasers, press brakes, waterjet
- ideally 2 Years of operating one of the metal fabrication equipment listed is preferred, less experience will be considered.
- Strong work ethic, reliable to report to work every day and work a full shift and overtime as needed.

- Overhead crane operation a plus
- Working knowledge of CAD software Solidworks is a plus
