Description
The St. Louis West KOA offers picturesque camping as it was meant to be - with lots of trees, a babbling creek, fireflies, and a campfire under a starlit sky located on Historic Route 66, less than 1 mile from Six Flags St. Louis and I-44. We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and outgoing person for our landscape & maintenance team. Offering camping year-round in RVs, Cabins, Deluxe Cabins, and tents our goal is to create a great camping experience for our guests by offering excellent customer service. WORKING HOURS:
- Seasonal/part time position
- 10-30 hours/week depending on position and season
- Seasonal (May 1 - September 8) and Year Round positions available
- 7am-7pm - Monday - Thursday (hours schedule to be determined by park needs)
- $15/ hour and up depending on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures customers receive a high level of service consistent with our customer service philosophy
• Complete projects and repairs in a timely manor
• Help to ensure the safety of guest and campground property with attentive observation and action
• Coordinate with office staff for problem resolution when available
• Help enforce campground policies and implement solutions consistent with goals of park
• Daily care of grounds including but not limited to: mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, weeding, watering, irrigation repair, and tidying of common areas.
• Proactive approach to the daily repair and maintenance of campground facilities
• Assisting other departments as needed
• Solve problems effectively and efficiently
Requirements
• Able to work with others and work independently
• Basic to intermediate skills in landscape & maintenance
• Able to operate light vehicles safely on property
• Intermediate knowledge of common repair tools
• Capable of digging, bending, climbing, and other manual labor
• Professional Appearance and attitude towards guests and fellow team members
• Communicate professionally and patiently
• Be on your feet during shift and able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
