What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Associate position at Kane's Furniture Corporation Career Center?
Kane's is offering an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Associate - Technician who will provide a variety of maintenance services pertaining to our facility and warehouse equipment/vehicles. This is a key position in our maintenance department and we are looking for critical thinkers and goal-oriented people.
This will include:
- We will provide the necessary tools for your success
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches, and electronic testing devices.
- Automotive maintenance experience a plus.
- Performs other related maintenance functions as required.

Qualified candidates will:
- Have hands-on general experience pertaining to maintaining industrial equipment, general building maintenance.
- Candidates must possess hands-on skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of various jobs to include: operating equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools, etc.; adhering to safety practices.
- Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which include significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass MVR check and requirements.
- All candidates for employment at Kane's Furniture must be able to successfully pass criminal background check and drug screening.
This position will be based in our Store Support Center/Distribution Center located at 5700 70th Avenue North, Pinellas Park, FL 33781
