Performance Responsibilities
- Locate homes of migrant children and enroll them in the summer migrant program
- Provide communication between school and home
- Communicate with organizations that work with migrant families
- Identify out of school youth in need of service
- Accurately document each child/youth’s eligibility on a Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
- Assist teachers, assistants, school office personnel, student records clerk, and migrant advocate with any student-related document relative to student/family services
- Maintain accurate recruitment and mileage log.
- Attend local, regional and state trainings
- Participate in Quality Control measures.
- Awareness of legal rights that affect migrant children
- Complete the OSY profile and service plan for each youth
- Determine and Provide services as needed to the OSY
- Coordinate with other agencies to provide opportunities for educational growth and support services
- Networking with local agencies to support the health and wellbeing of migrant OSY
- Provide information to OSY to promote high school graduation/and career goals

- Position is dependent on grant-funding**
- Preference will be given to those who have previous successful Migrant experience
- Recruiter must be able to attend Identification and Recruitment Training in the Spring and to the Illinois Statewide Migrant Education Workshop prior to the start of the program
