Bilingual; English-Spanish preferred
Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
Bilingual and /or ESL Endorsement preferred
Migrant Education Teaching Experience Preferred

Performance Responsibilities
- Supervises Migrant students assigned to his/her class
- Selects appropriate leveled materials and content for daily lessons
- Evaluates student progress and achievement
- Prepares grade reports for program
- Pre and post test students
- Maintains attendance records for students
- Participates in all in-service activities
- Attends all parent/student activities
- Gives direction to teacher aides
- Provides daily supervision for all students as needed
- Communicates with program Director and parents
- Provides instruction aligned to Illinois State Learning Standards
- Work cooperatively with classroom/special services teachers, students records clerk, school secretaries and program secretary
- Attend all MEP-provided PD sessions including the spring pre-service, the Statewide MEP Workshop and local PD efforts
- Position is dependent on grant-funding**
- Preference will be given to those who have previous successful Migrant experience
- Classroom Teachers:
- Must attend the Spring Teacher Pre-Service in April
- Must be able to attend the Illinois Statewide Migrant Education Workshop prior to the start of the program
