OVERVIEW
The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers are the Single-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox and member of Minor League Baseball. Over the past four years, the team has experienced exponential growth within the community and baseball industry while playing at the award-winning Atrium Health Ballpark.
The Cannon Ballers are seeking Grounds Crew employees that will help oversee the maintenance of the playing surface and ensure that it is up to professional playing standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in all field preparations on game days and non-game day events.
- Assist with multiple aspects of maintaining the infield playing surface, such as care to the mound, bullpen, and home plate areas.
- Daily care of the grass including watering and mowing of playing surface.
- Facilitation of game day needs, such as painting of foul lines and batters boxes.
- Other team-related duties as directed by the Head & Assistant Groundskeepers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- General working knowledge of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to safely operate lightweight vehicles, as well as quickly pull tarps and other related equipment from the field.
