We are seeking energetic, skilled Maintenance Technicians for openings in our facility in Arkansas City, KS.
We operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week. This opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.
Shift: 3rd Shift (12p-10p); Must be able to work 1st shift for training for first 30 days.
JOB SUMMARY:
Skilled position responsible for the efficient performance of a variety of building, installation, maintenance and repair tasks in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical repair, welding, sheet metal work, auto mechanics and wastewater facilities repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshooting complicated mechanical and electrical systems and monitoring operations throughout the facility including mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance of process equipment throughout the plant.
- Troubleshoot minor plumbing, building repair and maintenance. Responsible for monitoring equipment performance.
- Recognizing deviation from “normal operation” and rectifying it.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED, plus two (2) year of experience as a skilled worker in one or more of the electrical, mechanical, or construction trades.
- Mechanical aptitude to disassemble and reassemble all types of equipment.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have experience with electrical, electro-mechanical, or pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings preferred.
- Experience with troubleshooting preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be a self-motivated individual.
- Ability to work well with others and be a team member.
- Must have safe work habits.
- Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
- Must be comfortable with heights and confined spaces.
